🔧 RFID Reader Setup Guide
1
Connect the RFID reader to a USB port
Most USB RFID readers work plug-and-play — no driver needed. Compatible with 125kHz and 13.56MHz readers.
2
Make sure the reader is in HID / keyboard emulation mode
This makes the reader act like a keyboard and type the ID number automatically. Most readers default to this mode.
3
Go to ID Verification and tap a student ID card
The reader types the card number into the input field and the system verifies instantly — no manual typing needed.
4
The RFID UID is linked to the student's library account
The existing BCP student ID remains the student's login/identity number. The reader's RFID UID is stored separately and linked to that account, so students do not need a new library card.

How Archive & Restore works
• Archive: removes the record from active lists without permanently deleting it.
• Restore: returns the original record to its active state.
• Database: archived records remain stored in the system database.
• Audit: archive/restore actions are recorded in the audit trail in production.
